This report shows assessed value and estimated tax revenue from properties in the Alewife area, including the Triangle, Quadrangle, Discovery Park/Acorn Park, WR Grace, Fresh Pond Mall, and New Street.

Assessed value has increased significantly since 2013

Total assessed value in the Alewife area has more than doubled, from $1.20 billion in 2013 to $2.90 billion in 2019.

Tax revenues have increased 37% in six years

Tax revenue from properties in the Alewife area increased from $20.30 million in 2013 to $27.80 million in 2019.

Tax revenue increased more slowly than assessed value

The year-over-year percent change in assessed value is much greater than the change in tax revenue and greater than can be accounted for by inflation.
